I’m super excited.
I’ve just got off the phone with a guy who’s coming to join us at Inspire Media.
You might have heard of him? His name is Ian Mizon.
That’s right, after six years in South Africa, Ian has made the decision to return to the UK and join our team, and I’m pleased as punch to be working with him again.
If you know ‘Mizo’, you’ll know that he brings an exceptional skillset with him – he truly is one of the most talented media sales professionals I’ve ever worked with.
In truth, Ian could have his pick of roles in the UK, so why has he chosen Inspire? I’ll let him explain:
“I’ve been a very lucky man and professional for so many years. I’ve been welcomed and worked in over 20 countries and enjoyed every moment.
The past three years have been all about learning additional business growth skills, to complement my media sales ones.
I’ve coached entrepreneurs and leadership teams and helped to grow their businesses by understanding where they are on their journeys, and how to achieve the next steps for growth.
I’ve strategised and helped with business vision, market position, distribution channels and product delivery.
I’ve set up two successful business coaching companies here in South Africa and loved every second of my time here.
But I’m coming back, and Inspire Media is the reason for my return.
I’ve known most of the team members a long time and kept up-to-date with the Inspire journey since it began.
I looked at several entrepreneurial and corporate opportunities but the vibrant, talented and rapid-growth business environment of Inspire was the obvious choice for me.
Inspire’s passion for perfecting traditional and modern media solutions is exactly what I was looking for. I already know they are great people to be around. I can’t wait to return and help accelerate their success.”
Reading those words again just makes me so excited about working with Mizo again, and I know that the rest of our team share my excitement.
He’s a unique and colourful character, and I’ve been impressed with what he has done and how he has developed since leaving the media industry for a few years.
Knowing that Mizo had various options to return to in the UK, I’m encouraged that this highly respected media professional has chosen to join Inspire Media – I know that he’s going to play a key role in our clients’ successes as we march on.
