Doug Gold
Doug has a long and very successful media and business career. He founded More FM, a highly successful radio network in one of the world’s most deregulated and competitive radio markets. The network was sold to international media company, CanWest, in 1997. His next business, NRS Media, operated in over twenty countries and had offices in Sydney, Atlanta, London, Toronto, Cape Town and Bogota. NRS Media was sold to a US private equity company in 2014. Doug has had a number of business interests outside media, including shareholder and director of Summerset Retirement Villages, Torpedo 7 and 1-day.co.nz (a daily deals site) before the company was sold to The Warehouse. He is currently a major shareholder and director of CardPlus (Australia). The New Zealand arm of that business was sold to Z Energy. Doug is also an internationally acclaimed broadcaster and has won numerous broadcasting awards including US Broadcaster of the Year.
